Google Sign-In Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how dailytask ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you sign in with Google and use our application.
By using Google Sign-In and our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
- Google account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google user ID, name, profile image (if available), and email address. We use Google only for authentication and to associate your account with your data in the app.
- Authentication tokens: We receive tokens from Google to verify your identity. These tokens are used securely and are not shared with other users.
- App content you create: Tasks, sections, tags, chat messages, and related metadata created within the app.
- Usage data: Interactions within the app (e.g., feature usage, timestamps), device/browser information, and general diagnostic events.
- Error and performance logs: Limited technical information for debugging and reliability (e.g., error traces, request IDs).
How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate and maintain your session with Google Sign-In.
- Provide core app functionality, including creating and managing tasks, sections, tags, and chats, and syncing your data across devices.
- Improve reliability and performance, including troubleshooting, preventing abuse, and securing the service.
- Communicate with you about service updates, security notifications, and important changes to the app or this policy.
Data Storage and Infrastructure
We use reputable third-party infrastructure and services to store and process data, which may include:
- Firebase (Google Cloud) for client-side features such as authentication helpers, realtime capabilities, or error reporting.
- Supabase for database, APIs, and realtime syncing of app data.
- Vercel (e.g., modern cloud hosting for web apps) to deliver the application.
These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions. Data may be stored in data centers located in the United States or other regions, subject to the providers' configurations and compliance standards.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:
- Service providers and subprocessors that help us operate the app (e.g., database, hosting, logging, analytics limited to service operations). They are bound by contractual obligations to safeguard your data and use it only for providing services to us.
- Legal or safety reasons when required to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users and the public.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion of your account or specific data, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your Choices and Rights
- Revoke access: You can revoke dailytask's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account settings.
- Access, update, or delete: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some data can be managed directly in the app (e.g., tasks, sections, tags, and chats).
- Opt-out of non-essential communications: You may opt out of non-essential emails if we send them.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and built- in security from our infrastructure providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to request deletion.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. By using the service, you consent to the transfer of information to countries that may have different data protection rules than your country.
